Ragnar: Las Vegas

California Wild Fires

I had a fantastic time running 195 miles with 12 awesome friends. Everyone was so supportive of each other and had great attitudes even with the lack of food and sleep (oh and running 3 times in 24 hrs). Jade was a great team captain and she made the race run so smoothly. Her great organization/planning skills surly made up for all the procrastinating I did. It was a tight squeeze for our car but thanks to Corby and Lindsay spidering in the front seat we were able to manage. With Trevor forgetting running shorts, warm clothes and sleeping stuff he was still able to do a cartwheel and a forward roll in the middle of his runs. Everyone found a ton of relief thanks to Dr. McKenzie and her muscle cream. What great team work! I love you all and would do it again in a heart beat.

Flying Horses

Our main goal today was to live up to our team name, Flying Horses.

Let me just say, GOAL ACCOMPLISHED!

It was a big relief having my other half pick up half of the 13.1 miles in the race today! Kyle and I decided it would be fun to do the Hobbler Half Marathon relay where one person runs the first half and the other runs the second half. Best idea ever. I'm not sure why this wasn't thought of sooner. I love the team effort and I'm glad Kyle finally jumped on the running bandwagon. I was very impressed by Kyle, he did great on his first race.

I was so happy to find Heather along the course. It's nice to finish with a friend.
Look! Running really is fun.

Wasatch Back 2010

Here is my cute Wasatch Back team Sweet Cheeks! They are amazing runners and I loved watching each of them push themselves to the max and run their heart out. I can't thank them enough for cheering me on each step of the way, keeping me cool, hydrated, and well fed. I wouldn't have been able to do it without their support. It was so cool to get to know each of them during the 35 hours we spent together in the car. I can't wait for next year. Thanks for an awesome race!

Who knew....

I could love something so smelly, inconvenient, and high maintenance!

Meet my puppy....Sloan.

I love the way he
  • snores
  • takes two separate poops every time I take him out
  • pesters and bullies every dog he interacts with
  • sleeps
  • creeps up on me while I'm sleeping
  • whines like the saddest baby I've ever heard
  • wags his whole butt because he has no tail
  • acts like he is a 3 feet tall instead of just 10 inches
  • gets bursts of energy and sprints around our whole house
  • owns the passage way between our couches
  • rolls over and shakes (thanks Mom!)
  • EARS and permanent puppy dog eyes!

I am so happy Kyle and I found our little baby! He has been a lot of work but so entertaining and fun! I know he can look really silly but that is what I love about him. I'm not sure what I would do with out him.

A New Job for the New Year

I have a new job now working as an ISR (inside sales rep) for the School Improvement Network and that's what has been disrupting my social life. You may know of its location, it is where Junction Bowling alley used to be so if you were planning on going bowling there don't.

I was sad to leave my previous position at Dr. Sorensen's office but one day you have to grow up and get a full-time job right? I already miss Linzi keeping me up to date on the celebs, people magazine, watching videos on you tube, checking my email, reading people's blogs, looking at facebook, free lunch from reps, Thursdays off, getting paid through lunch and the great people I was able to work with.

I was lucky enough to move to a company with some more amazing people and many great opportunities. I'm excited for this path which will help me learn and grow as a person. I love knowing great people because they lead you to great things. My friend Marah assisted me in finding this path, so thanks Mare Bear!

I am excited for the goals I have awaiting me this year, it's really neat to have a plan and know where I'm going. Not sure why I didn't implement this earlier in life but better late than never.

Happy 2010!
